New Equipment

We are proud to show off our new rough/bank mower. It is not brand new, but came from Omaha CC and is in great condition. This mower will be used on green/tee banks which keeps the large rough mower off the slopes and away from the greens. Thank you to FCO and Eagle Golf for their support and providing us with the proper equipment to do the job! 

Spring Work

With Spring officially here, irrigation work has begun. Here, the guys are repairing a irrigation line that shattered over the winter months. This time of year is crucial to inspect the system and ensure it's running correctly and as efficiently as possible before the Summer grind arrives!

Winter Damage/Spring Recovery

This winter on all golf courses was one of the most difficult ones I've been apart of.  The extremely long periods of no snow cover and extreme cold temperatures took it's toll on the turf.  As you can see, the course is very slow to green up and will take some time with long periods of sun to change that.  We are doing everything we can to speed up the process, but have patience as there is really nothing we can do until soil temperatures get in the 50-55 degree range.  We have mowed greens and fairways this week in hopes to remove enough dead tissue to allow sunlight to penetrate the turf canopy which provides more sunlight to turf plant. 
We have also spent time getting the sticks/debris cleaned up as well as getting the first rake on the bunkers.  They came out very nice and are in great shape heading into the 2014 golf season.    

Tree Work- #7

Here are before/after pictures of the trees on #7 that we completed today.  The first two are along the right side of the fairway and the last image is front left of the green/bunker complex.  It really improves the playability of the hole as well as visually.  With the forecast looking positive in the near future, come on out and take a look at the changes! 

New Flags

The new flags arrived today and as you can tell, they are a new design. We eliminated the checkers and enhanced the logo for better visibility. The flag is much lighter allowing it to pick up wind and direction much easier.
