Bill has converted our topdresser to the 4-wheel Cushman we recently purchased. Previously, it was mounted on a 3-wheel cart posing major safety issues especially when it is fully loaded with sand. Getting the proper equipment for the job makes us more efficient and allows us to complete the job much safer.
I created this blog to give the membership an insight to the Field Club maintenance department. We are a 'behind the scenes' operation, so this is intended to fill that void and inform you on what progress is being made on a daily to weekly basis.

Course Open-Walking Only
With the warm up this week, the course will be open for walking only. The ground is thawing and snow melting which is creating a very soft/sloppy surface. We have blown off greens/tees and cups (ice) so pins will be out. Spring is right around the corner!

Shop Rehab
Before
After
Last week we worked in the breakroom, office and bathrooms re-finishing the tile floors. We buffed out the floor, applied sealer and 4 coats of wax. As you can tell they turned out great and it helps to set expectations when you walk in the door. The pride we have for the facility carries over to the golf course and the results show. Details matter!

Snow Cleanup
Last night and this morning was spent cleaning up from the 5" of snow we got in past 12 hours. It is much needed snow cover which protects the plant from winter desacation.
